Oh great, just when I've bashed and given up on reality TV, Britney's coming out with her own show? Like I'm going to be able to avoid watching at least one episode thinking to myself: "How can someone so hot be so annoying?"

This is the slippery slope we end up on when the govt tries to protect citizens from themselves.

I don't have a problem at all with tightening our borders. The hundreds of thousands crossing the border are called illegal aliens because they are illegal. There are many ways to enter our country and have an opportunity at the "Dream" without coming illegally. Let's also not dismiss the ease with which terrorists could infiltrate our country. I realize this won't eradicate the problem, but let's not put out a Welcome mat for them.
For those coming through recognized channels, welcome to the America. I hope it is everything you ever dreamed of it being.
Why should it be illegal to come to this country at all?
Wasn't this country (and freedom itself) based upon open borders and, thereby, true freedom?
I don't disagree with your utopian vision, but I do not think it is practical today.
I think terrorism changes everything.
I also believe we can offer freedom without giving up some accountability of who is entering our borders.
Is is really that hard to become a legal immigrant??
If it were easy do you think all these people would be literally dying just trying to get into this country?
It's not utopian, and the reason they closed the borders has nothing to do with terrorism -- it's directly attributable to another -ism...that is, socialism.

Socialism forces the gubt to get into all kinds of things that they shoudn't be involved in. Including keeping people out of this country.
I completely disagree with you Cody.
And that's ok.
Agreed that it's okay to disagree, though we have to address these issues and make lots of fixes and changes.
